Muktinath itinerary, day by day

1

Day 1 – Arrive Pokhara

Reach Pokhara from Gorakhpur via Sonauli or by air. Rest and an early night before the morning flight.

Day 2 – Fly to Jomsom, drive to Muktinath

A 20-minute flight up the Kali Gandaki gorge, then about 1.5 hours by jeep to Ranipauwa. Darshan, the 108 spouts and the Jwala Mai temple's natural flame; return to Jomsom for the night.

Day 3 – Jomsom, Marpha and back to Pokhara

Walk through Marpha's apple-orchard village and look for Shaligram stones on the riverbed, then the flight or jeep back to Pokhara.

Day 4 – Pokhara sightseeing

A gentle recovery day: Bindhyabasini, Phewa Lake and Davis Falls.

Day 5 – Departure from Pokhara

Drive back to Sonauli and Gorakhpur, or fly to Kathmandu.
